Introduction to Glider Flying > Aerodynamics of Flight > Airfoil > Angle of Attack
The angle of attack is the angle formed between
the relative wind and the chord line of the wing. You have direct
control over angle of attack. By changing the pitch attitude
of the glider in flight through the use of the elevator/stabilator,
you are changing the angle of attack of the wings. [Figure 3-1]
